Imperfect Pastor
Some think it strange that our pastor, Dr. Bob Moore, at the age of 70 would want to help start a brand new church. When asked about this irregularity, Brother Bob chuckled and said, "I'm not dead yet, and remember Moses did not even get called by God until he was 80 and Caleb was 80 when he asked Joshua's permission to go capture the mountain. Humanly speaking what we are undertaking is impossible, and I would not do this - especially with some problems I have experienced unless I felt a definite call of God on my life to do this 'impossible' task."
Dr. Bob went on, "I am of all preachers one of the most unworthy for God to call to do this. Why He has called me is His business and not mine. When I felt the call of God to start this ministry - because of some troubling things in my past - I replied, 'Lord, what will they say - those who know of my problems?'
"God answered, 'They didn't call you I did, and my callings are without repentance.'
"So with they same tender heart and the same simplicity I had when He called me to preach at the age of 13 and with the same vigor I had when He led me to Bible College at the age of 18 and then after college on to Illinois for my first pastorate and then back to Marietta where God did a mighty work - with that same vigor, faith, determination, and vision I said, 'YES! I will trust you and follow you wherever you lead.'"

Our church is not a hotel for saints but a hospital for sinners - sinners saved by grace. Some have not yet received the grace that God freely offers. Please don't feel unworthy. None of us are worthy. Whatever your background, whatever your difficulty, there is a place for you at Tri County Church. We do follow the the encouragement of Jesus, "He that is without sin, let him cast the first stone." At TCC we have no stone throwers. We love you just as you are. You don't have to get straightened out to be welcome at our church.
Tri County Church is a perfect church for imperfect people.
And by the way we don't focus on how well people dress. Our motto is - no coat, no tie - no problem.
