Welcome, to our Church! Our new church is being founded to love and reach out to Cobb, Cherokee and Bartow Counties - In The Heart of North Georgia With Our World On Our Heart - A New Church Like You Always Dreamed About!
An
Imperfect Pastor (continued)
It is important to the membership of Tri-County Church that you visit and attend our fellowship with your eyes wide open. All of us know that our pastor is still imperfect and he has had some serious challenges in his past; however, knowing this, we love him, respect him, learn from him and follow him, certain that God has His hand on our pastor. We all experience the anointing that God has on his life
It is for this reason that we are publishing these serious issues so that you can decide for yourself whether or not you want to consider our church as a potential church home for you and your family. We are going to spell out some serious things, matters which might keep you away from our church however, we want to be up front with these serious issues. Neither our church nor our pastor will hide from these issues because we firmly believe that Jesus taught, "The truth shall make you free, and if you be free, you are free indeed."
Before we enumerate these issues, we want you to know that God can and will bless our church in spite of (not because of) these things that are in our pastor's past.
Let us tell you about one of America's little known but highly blessed churches in the world, Cornerstone Church in the Nashville area. Their pastor, Dr. Maury Davis, was in prison guilty of and serving a life sentence for murder. Check out his testimony and their church's being blessed at www.cornerstonenashville.org. The church started small, and under his anointed and effective leadership, the church has grown mightily, has won many souls to Christ, and has had a profound effect not only in Nashville and the U.S. but also around the world.
The Apostle Paul himself was guilty of murder.
Now don't worry! Brother Bob has not been or is he guilty of murder; however, he has served four months in jail, awaiting trial for a "white collar crime." And you can read on the internet much gossip about our pastor and his past. To bring to a conclusion these criminal accusations against Brother Bob, he pled guilty to misuse of corporate funds under the Alford Act (similar to nolo contendere).
Brother Bob and the church wants you to know this ahead of time so that when you experience the powerful ministry of our church and pastor, you will not be shaken when you hear gossip about our church and pastor. Like Dr. Davis in Nashville, once a year Dr. Bob is going to share his testimony with us in the church. Also if you have any question about anything in Brother Moore's past, he will gladly discuss it with you. We have no secrets about our pastor.
Issue Number 2 - Our pastor is divorced and he lives alone as a single adult.
In 1994 Brother Moore resigned his church in Kennesaw because of an impending separation from his wife, Marion, because of a moral failure on his part. In 2000 their 37 year marriage ended in divorce. After three years of divorce and after much counseling, they made another try at being married. In less than a year Mrs. Moore wanted another divorce. Today Marion is happily married to a retired pastor, and Brother Bob and our church wish her only the best. Although our pastor from time to time dates single ladies, he at this time feels led of the Lord to remain unmarried.
Issues Numbers 3 - 3,000
Because of insidious gossip you might hear anything about our pastor. If you ever want to ask him any question about anything regarding his life or our church's ministry, he will gladly speak with you privately.
Dr. Bob says, "Thank God for the blood of Jesus. Whatever sins I have committed are already forgiven, and even though God has forgiven me, I will live with the consequences, and I refuse to stop serving the Lord under His leadership. And I pray for his sweet hand of blessing upon my life and ministry.
"Think about this. Because of the things I have experienced - good things and bad things - as an imperfect pastor maybe I can understand help you with some of things you have gone and are going through. I am what I am by the grace of God."
